Been Out of Pocket For a Few Days!!

Norman Gregory Fernandez, Esq.

Most people don’t realize the trial attorneys spend 95% of their time getting ready for a trial. The other 5% is the actual trial itself.

I have been out of pocket the last few days preparing for a trial that was supposed to start yesterday on November 13, 2006. I, along with two of the major witnesses in the case ended up coming down with some kind of flu bug, with a third witness starting to get sick.

When I walked in the court yesterday I was so stuffed up and had such a bad headache that I could barely see straight. I had no alternative but to ask the judge for a continuance of the trial. Its flu season folks; take precautions.

The trial was continued by the judge to December 4, 2006. So now you will start seeing more articles on the Blog again.

We still have great 80 degree riding weather here in Southern California and now I have the flu. As the old saying goes, “chit happens.” I guess I’ll drink more fluids, try to take it easy, work my cases, and wait until the moment is right to jump back on my motorcycle and take one hell of a ride.
