Happy Thanksgiving from Biker Lawyer Norman Gregory Fernandez, and the Biker Law Blog

Happy Thanksgiving from the Biker Law BlogThis is the year 2010, and we are in the grips of the worst economic depression since the Great Depression of the 1930’s.

I know many families out there are hurting right now due to unemployment, underemployment, and might even be losing their homes to foreclosure.

Furthermore, we have troops engaged in combat in Afghanistan, and Iraq, with the potential for hostilities to break out in North Korea at any moment.

Notwithstanding all of the above, I would like to wish you and your family and Happy Thanksgiving.

    Another Thanksgiving gone by.
A local church served over 1000 meals in their Fellowship Hall and fixed another 20O that church members delivered to homes.
We live in the greatest country and are thankful for so many things we take for granted.
Hopefully everyone’s taxes will not go up and our economy will start growing again.

Yes Sandie it was nice except that this was the only year my mom has not prepared thanksgiving in 40 years plus. Further, she was too ill to go to my sisters for thanksgiving. My dad did make it from assisted living.

For some reason, I could not eat as much this year, as I have been able to in the past.

By the way the Congressional accounting office has reported that the economy has grown 1 million to 1.5 million jobs due to the stimulus plan. That is good news. Hopefully things are looking up. Both parties need to work together or we are screwed. Bush’s policies almost buried us, let’s see if we can get out of this mess together!

That good news was crushed by the Jobs report being worse than expected. We need jobs badly and not more federal jobs to grow government.
I feel bad for folks that make over $250,000 a year because it looks like they will indeed see a big hike on their taxes.

Sandie I don’t feel bad for rich folks, I feel bad for folks who don’t make that much. It is not the rich who are suffering right now.
