I was going to say- the worst thing you can do is ASK. Often those afraid can actually make something, and those who tackle a claim themselves lose. A simple consultation or question can really go a long way.

Only someone who is not informed would try dealing with the crooks that all insurance companies are when it comes time for them to write you a check.
Get a lawyer who “specializes” in personal injury. You are “always” going to end up on the short end of a stick if you go it alone.
Besides, you get what you pay for……
