I've read about this for some time now, on gsxr.com. I believe it comes from shaving weight off every year to make a faster bike. I believe I read Suzuki neglected ownership untill someone was killed and was forced to act.

Is it really gsxr1000 only? I think there is very few differences between the 1000 and 750 besides the motor. I'm sure stunting is not good for our bikes, and choose not to do so. Who's bike is more likely to break mine or the guy stunting and dropping his wheelie hard at 70mph or more??? I believe there have been several problems that Suzuki refused to act on untill their hands were tied. I have been a Suzuki loyal fan for years. And when a local Suzuki dealer cussed me out and refused to sell me parts b/c I filed a complaint w/Suzuki about the local dealer. Suzuki told me they had the right to refuse me service. Finally the shop had such a bad rep that they sold out. I received my bike back like 6 months later in an unsafe manner, and shop threatened me with a 2500 bill versus it being covered under warrantee dependant only upon me not complaining to Suzuki further about the shops treatment. The following week, I was told i could call Suzuki but "it would be a $3000 phone call.
