My attitude at this point is that we need to get all of the bums out of Washington, and then implement term limits so it does not become a lifetime gig. Government jobs on average are paying 3 times more than non government jobs, and the tax payers are getting screwed.

We need to shrink the size of the Federal government, and do what is best for the American people, and not what is best for the government or the cronies that have made it their career. Modern political parties exist to keep themselves in power, and not to help our country.

You heard correctly Norm. In fact a Congressman or Senator after serving one term gets a Pension and Insurance for life. That my dear friend is a crock.
I saw on the news that Congress gave themselves a raise. Who in the world besides Congress can give their own raises?? I can’t think of anyone.
Another point….more Federal Jobs have been invented since the 2010 election. Plenty of jobs in Washington and none any place else.
Run for office Norm. I would vote for you & work your campaign in Florida.
We need to have representation by working people and not a bunch of rich folks that never have had to worry about a job or how to buy groceries.
You are a hell of a lot smarter than 99% of Washington, D.C.

I think that the first thing we need to do is look at governmental employees, their salaries, and their benefits and pensions. I have heard that governmental salaries and pensions are 3 times higher than non governmental employee salaries and pensions.
