My husband and I had the honor to ride with the Patriot Guard Riders this morning. Fort Carson invited the group to their 4th annual ceremony for The Mountain Post Global War On Terrorism Fallen Soldiers Memorial. Today Fort Carson recognized the thirty new names recently added to their memorial. Making it 220 soldiers they have lost to the recent war. I talked with the mom (she and her husband are now in the PGR) whose son's funeral was one of the first the PGR helped in in Kansas. It was heart wrenching listening to her. She talked about the two soldiers knocking on her door to tell her the news. This was her youngest son and they are now living in the Springs and actively involved with the group. This really brought home the meaning of Memorial Day to me.

they are true heros and need to be recognized. i know i would be to afraid to do
what they do. GOD BLESS THEM AND BRING THEM HOME SAFELY

A close friend of ours is on his 3rd tour in Iraq, he was sent home last time because
he was shot 3 times and his commanding officer was killed. I fear for our men and women
and question why we are there. But there will be another time to discuss our views on
that

FOR THOSE THAT HAVE SERVED AND PAID THE ULTIMATE PRICE, YOU NEED TO BE RECOGNIZED FOR
YOUR BRAVERY AND HONOR AND I THANK YOU

FOR THOSE THAT ARE STILL SERVING, MAY GOD BLESS YOUR EVERY MOVE AND BRING YOU HOME
SAFELY AND TO YOU I ALSO SAY THANK YOU
