I suspect that attendance was low mostly due to the publicity of the killing and shooting at the Reno Street Vibrations Biker Rally a few weeks ago. As well, this sort of thing also tends to put &quot;fence&quot; riders off so they stay out of possible harm&#039;s way (then why ride?).

Around here in the Midwest, most of the events, from the Chillicothe Easy Rider Rodeo, to the Thunder in the Valley, have been charging for years to get into the vendors area. Chilli was $20 this year on Friday, and $40 more if you wanted into the campgrounds, where all the fun really is. And I was able to buy a vest that finally fit me for $20, but that&#039;s besides the point.

What people don&#039;t seem to get is that you could be standing on a street corner and have the same thing happen that occured in Reno. Life is a chance, all we can do is pick the games we want to play and live with the risks.
