That has to be the worst case of poor customer service I have ever heard! But I can also say that is some of the best writing and documentation I have had the privilege to read. As an aside I ride a Yamaha Roadstar but have recently been riding a loaner Indian Challenger. This is by far the best motorcycle I have ever ridden. I rented an HD Roadglide in Monterey to cruise the coast road down to Big Sur and had to listen to my wife’s complaints of the harsh ride the entire trip. And this bike was adjusted for 2 up riding. How I wish a Challenger had been available. I’m now a huge fan of Indian motorcycles!....Doug in S. Florida

In reply to <a href="https://bikerlawblog.com/indian-motorcycles-orange-county-possibly-worst-motorcycle-dealership-country/#comment-192214">David W Barnes</a>.

I will tell you what David, the new Indian has been super reliable. For the few service issues I have had to do with, yes I have had to drive a little further to San Marcos from Huntington Beach, but the satisfaction from the motorcycle more than makes up for the very few times I've had to take it to the dealer. Even at Sturgis this year all sorts of people were staring and giving me the thumbs up and my bike is a 2017 Indian roadmaster. I never got a thumbs up from anybody on any of my Harley-Davidson's. This year Harley-Davidson has tried to catch Indian by coming out with a 114 cubic in engine, and an improved sound system, but the Indian dollar for dollar is still a better choice. There are some about that want to ensure a good dealer network so I understand your decision.

Glad I read been teetering between HD and Indian. I prefer the Indian bike but when starting negotiations the vibe from dealership was bad. Then tacky sales tactics made me just walk out and pause. My final purchase will be around $38000 or more and with only one dealer to work with gives me great concern. On the flip HD may be elitist but always been treated well at all locations. While Indian treated me like I couldn't afford them. Yet I'm paying cash just didn't tell them. Yeah I look bikery. I'm either waiting for more dealers from Indian or stay with Harley . It does suck to pass on better ride. Wonder how many more are making same choice but you article confirmed it for me so thx

Damned.... I've got though a few BS issues with dealerships, but Orange county takes the cake. They were obviously butt hurt they didn't get the original sale. Sad to see dealers like this ( and I know a few ) taint the brand
