I know times are tough Sandie. We have a 12.4% unemployment in California. That is unheard of.

I have taken a big hit in my family law practice. At least the recession is keeping people together who otherwise would be getting divorced. I am seeing a lot more clients with no car or medical insurance. I just had one un-wise new client write me a bad check. Can you imagine someone writing an attorney a bad check? (illegal)

It may take a generation or more for us to recover from this recession. We let all of our corporations ship all of our manufacturing jobs to China, India, Mexico, etc., and it has killed our economy.

We learned this lesson a long time ago, and enacted regulations to protect ourselves. Unfortunately, and recently our lawmakers forgot the lessons we learned in the late 1800's and early 1900's and deregulated everything again. What do you think happened? Deregulated corporations and businessman run amok again.

To fix this mess, all we have to do is look back at history and not repeat the same mistakes.

Norm: Folks are hanging onto their cash! You never know when you might need it. Jobs are few and folks that are working do not have much certainty. I know I have not used my plastic. If I “need” something,,,I am paying cash or doing without!! Times are tough for all right now.

I’m into boating and that market is also suffering just like many other. It’s normal in situations like this but hopefully it won’t last long.
